Luke 5:31 NASB
And Jesus answered and said to them, "It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick."
Love this verse.
Stina made me do it.
Luke 4:43 NASB
But He said to them, "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose."
The people wanted to keep Jesus all to themselves, but he knew he needed to keep going.
I think sometimes we try to keep Jesus to ourselves. We want to put him in a box and take him out in our time. But the Lord himself knows there is more work to be done, and we need to keep moving.
Lord, I want to keep moving for you. To not grow static, but to always have your mission to others, to more, in mind.
Luke 3:38 NASB
the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.
I don't think the text is referring to Adam being the son of God but making a statement that he has a human heritage, but he is the son of God, and that trumps everything else.
I think sometimes we forget who he is and the power he has, because we treat him like a superhero with some powers when he is the God of all power.
Lord, help me to remember your power, that you are the son of God!
Scripture:
Luke 2:14 NASB
"Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased."
Observation:
I never noticed the with whom he is pleased part before. It looks as if peace is a gift to those who are in the will of God.
Application:
Be in God's will, and listen for his voice to know what that is.
Prayer:
Lord, reveal your desires for me to me, so that I can do the work you have for me, and glorify you.
